On our first stop for the day, after getting some coffee and a bite to eat, was to head to Asakusa district in Tokyo. It was a short walk to the Hamamatsucho station and a short train on the JR Yamanote Line to Tokyo Station where we transferred to the Ginza Subway Line for Asakusa

Once there, we walked briefly through the mass of people and through the famous temple entrance before coming upon an artist shop to have our portraits done

I don’t know, but I think they got my ears off.

Anyways, had fun. Very friendly people. Not very expensive. I think it came out to be around $35 USD after all said and done. It was also an opportunity to rest my feet for a couple minutes so I didn’t complain.

P.S. My wife doesn’t think that they did a good job on her portrait, so we all pretend to agree with her, right? Thanks.
